Day camp monitor

Duties

  • Lead and supervise children (7 to 14 years old) ;
  • Plan and prepare activities ;
  • Participate in nautical training;
  • Ensure the safety of the campers and provide first aid in emergency situations ;
  • Any other related tasks.

Terms of Employment

  • Collegiate completed, student job;
  • First aid certification or valid C.P.R., National lifeguard valid (an advantage) ;
  • Animation experience;
  • We are looking for a reliable, versatile person who is able to exercise good judgement. The candidate must be familiar with, and/or have an interest in, nautical activities such as sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, etc.

Salary offered:
$18 / hour

Number of hours per week:
35 to 40 hours

Outdoor Guide – Sea Kayaking

Duties

  • Guide customers and provide instruction on sea kayaking techniques ;
  • Ensure customer safety ;
  • Interpret the natural environment of the Magdalen Islands ;
  • Assemble, inspect and clean necessary equipment and accessories ;
  • Any other related tasks.

Terms of Employment

  • College;
  • 2nd level in sea kayaking;
  • Radio operator certificate (VHF)
  • At least one year of experience as a guide;
  • We are looking for a reliable, versatile person who is able to exercise good judgment. Sea kayaking knowledge and experience are required;
  • A driver’s license is required.

Salary offered:
$ 20 / hour

Variable schedule according to demand

Duties

  • Know the main sailing disciplines: sailing, windsurfing and wingsurfing;
  • Participate in the training courses offered by Istorlet;
  • Provide courses according to the requested SAILING disciplines;
  • Rent out Istorlet watercraft;
  • Maintain the equipment used;
  • Any other related tasks

Requirements and working conditions

  • Student, college or university job;
  • Have good sailing experience and hold a certificate from the federation;
  • Hold a pleasure craft operator’s license;
  • Hold a valid first aid certificate;
  • Experience in teaching sailing sports;
  • Available from June to the end of August
